Hope Talks: Community Discussion on Racial Unity & Injustice, 6:30pm

Hope Talks: A Church-Led Community Discussion on Racial Unity & Injustice

Thursday Night, 6:30-8pm

Including panel discussion, questions from the floor, small group discussion time, prayer for victims of injustice, Virginia Police Police representative (waiting for confirmation) addressing the gathering. Our goal is to foster and promote positive engagement on racial equality issues, to set aside divisive voices that are often so prominent, and to demonstrate the unique ways the church can potentially be a an example of healing, listening, and working together to see the kinds of changes our culture needs.

This is not an event to promote "one side" or the other, but to show that when we work together cooperatively, sides don't have to be taken in the first place. We don't have to agree on everything. In fact, we're almost sure we won't. But that isn't going to stop us from listening to one another respectfully and being determined to find common ground for a path forward. We expect the discussion to be honest and challenging without anger and division.
